and i pretty much managed to accomplish what i aimed to achieve last year.
my sound is pretty stable now.. heh. i know its not nice lah danhui you can just tell me haha.
i can tongue 140bpm semiquavers now!
which means i can play czardas (barely) now. okay lah take that out it still sounds like crap.
i can.. growl. is that an achievement?
okay lah im still a lousy player lah.
no "shape" and no "big sound". haha. nonsense. you having a small sound doesnt mean that you sound inferior. you are just a more mature musician. big sound may not equate to no musical sense too, but big sound limits your range as you are putting so much air into your instrument that you cant do anything else except for gradual cresendos and decresendos. which i find retarded. this is not just for woodwinds, for brasses as well.
dont say im a jazz player. my style may be influenced, but i dont think im that bad a contemporary player la. heck i cant even get the jazz style right.
eh means i damn noob right!
told you so.
just dont agree. that is why you always need to find the correct mentor. i have been mentorless for this whole while. all of my conductors are bloody brass players who does not know woodwinds inside out. do they know that the most disgusting sound a saxophone can make is the concert G? do they know that the low octave clarinet fingering is actually the same fingering as the fifth of that note on a tenor saxophone? do they know that how a soprano sax should sound like?
no what.
other people are overrated when they dont deserve it. everythink i suck until to the point that i think i suck too.
bias, favouritism, judgemental, paedophile.
are those supposed to be the correct qualities you would wna see in your teacher?
