so i didnt really follow up on my promise to blog three months later. i just have a few thoughts that i dont think its suitable for the people of facebook to know. although more people are able to access this blog but no one comes here anyway. and even if the parties concerned finds out i dont care. im the resident bastard.
i think, if a school has proper values and taught students clearly what is right and what is wrong, the majority of the people produced would be decent people. sure they may have flaws here and there, but overall their inner good triumphs their dark side. regardless whether its an elite school or a lousy school, a buddhist, muslim, or christian school, private or government, the principle still stands. so what happens when a majority - i emphasize majority - of the students that graduates from the school turns out to be arrogant, complacent, spoilt, disrespectful, narrow-minded, bias, antisocial, and has a mouth that not even Satan himself would possess?
i say this because i myself was - and still am - a victim of such.. excellent and well taught people. they run wild, taking advantage of loopholes in the establishment. arrogant and haughty, they despise everyone that they dont know. narrow-minded is too light a word to describe the perception in which they see the world. selfish and spoilt, they expect everything to be given to them on a silver platter. and we the innocents are supposed to do exactly what they would like us to do, oh yes. we are inferior, we are not supposed to critisize nor judge their actions. or else watch that demonic mouth run wild.
i had enough of these people. i didnt know how to deal with these kinds of people then, i was inexperienced. but now i do. it has also resulted in the stereotyping of everyone from that school. and a lot of times, my stereotyping turns out to be accurate. in most cases stereotype involves the depiction of person because of actions done by the minority. in this particular case, it is the majority. thus the minority suffers. i apologize to the small handful of people that i know that comes from that place. but sadly, you donned the colours, and unfortunately you'd be subject to stereotype from others, not just me. there are people much, much, much worse and cynical than me. so the question remains - who should we point the finger on?
we cannot blame it on the academic ability of these particular bunch, that would be unfair. they are not stupid. though they aren't really bright either. there are people with much lower intelligence, but yet they are good natured. why is that so?
we also cannot blame it on the very nature of these people. if so there should be a sort of bell curve. intermediates and the two extremes. but from what i see, it is more of one particular extreme, so you get like a plateau then steep, almost, infinite, gradient sort of curve. and it doesnt make sense if we say people of the same kind all goes to the same school. it just defies logic.
so it brings us to the scrutiny of the school itself. i believe it is the welfare system. welfare is good, it is healthy. but what if it becomes taken for granted? so much so that it becomes second nature. it gives them an unrealistic expectation of the real world. it makes them think everyone must take care of them as the world is a "welfare system". so they become spoilt. arrogance is because of achievements that i dont think they deserve, but lets save that for another time. so when you spoil someone for four years, and they are allowed to do whatever they want, when they come out they stay that way. probably that's it.
in my school the old principal was stupid enough to give "second" chances to people that dont deserve it. result was that they never learnt their lesson. new principal came in, expelled all troublemakers, school's a peaceful place. short and sweet.
lastly. whats with their demonic mouth?
i believe it is something accumulated over time. something that in their first year, they learnt how to survive with a sharp and harsh mouth. natural selection, eh? survival of the fittest. those that couldnt hold their own, suffered. so everyone learnt how to backstab, gossip, critisize. in order to survive. yeah, thats probably it.
and if youre wondering whether i am despising them, yeah i am. too much innocents suffered at their hands. though nothing can be done about this, karma will act soon. ive witnessed karma myself, ive done something very wrong and karma dealt me a heavy blow. just they wait.
despicable.
