so if life is a network of rivers, the choices you make are boats. some boats allow you to transit to another boat. some boats stop after a short while. sometimes you miss a boat. you might be able to swim to catch that boat. some boats might be too fast for you to catch, thus you linger in the open river, helpless until another boat arrives.

there are certain boats that might bring you to another river, another life. if you miss that boat, you miss it forever.
