im not really into mainstream. nor do i like over-hyping, over-rating, and over-playing.

case(s) in point: everyone likes Taylor Swift, Katy Perry, and all the rubbish songs you hear in radio. i don't. i've never heard of such crap before, and will never.

i used to like The Hush Sound when they were indie. but their second album turned mainstream and i disliked it.

Glee is just over-hyped, full stop.

i've played under a few conductors, and some of them loved over-rating their students. for reasons only known to them, they like to sing praises of them, boost their ego, create an image of a prodigious talent when they are as average as everyone else.

playing any song, regardless wind orchestra or pop, once is fine. twice is fine. twenty times in a row isn't. over-playing.

Seventh Night of July and Third Symphony used to be so over-played (by bands) that i was getting really sick of them.

haha this is a bland post i know. but a post nonetheless.
