today gta be one of the highlights of the year.



HWACHONG EXCHANGE WAS AWESOMEEEEEEEE.





the bands were good, but that's not the point la for me. I GOT TO SEE THE GANG AFTER LIKE EONS LOL. hahahaahahaha was practically yelling at them when i saw them. jason iggy umar weijian geraint winston joel, among others. hahahaah talked to gillian and alyssa, had fun with sheqal (HAHA), kowtowed to joshua kow (pardon the pun) for his amazing mallet solo in extreme makeover, and basically just talked cock with the guys la. vjc was totally superb. okay back to ny. we kinda screwed up for our pieces but alot of people said we were actually quite pro, hmm =/ maybe they trying to make us feel better HAHA. the hall quite dry la but thats no excuse. be it dry or wet hall, if we're a good band, we'd sound good. a lot of details had not been worked on and there's like 2 and a half weeks left, with more commitment ny will be able to make it!

i think its just a matter of perspective. vjc sounded superb but they said they screwed up their piece too. tjc too. extreme makeover was daring LOL. must salute la. so probably we actually sounded good just that we couldnt hear for ourselves. oh well, all that matters its the actual syf, like gillian said. was extremely happy today. (:



so the next thing to look forward to is the double "exchange" with sajc. hahahaha cant wait to see jacob. by then we'd be okay. WE MUST BE. the people must be confident of themselves la.



on a more personal note,
i think my sound is just inconsistent, sometimes i sound excellent (i think) but at other times i just sound like blah. i wouldnt blame it on the teeth even though that may be a contributing factor. tone wise i dont think i can ever be as good as eugene ko or breyann or weijian or even my own brother. they are all alto saxists but still its a saxophone sound. i cannot get the pure sax sound that eugene and breyann has. at the very most i can get a good dark tone, but its not consistent. i have to work a lot on my own i guess. my tonguing sucks too, i wonder how james does it but yah i'll have to train on that. if i ever want to join bands like philyouth or wherever i must learn to have consistency. yeah thats the word. CONSISTENCY.
