33rd nco camp took place like more than a year ago la. i cant bloody remember most people in the photos.. if youre the person in the photo, and you just happen to drop by in my blog (very unlikely), please tag! i do remember the schools though. its easier haha.
lol. the effects of not going nco outings. the timings are just not right la haha.
tomorrow is christmas. 6 more days and its 2009.. and o' level results draws near. i dont know about my fellow batchmates, but im defintely quite afraid, yet looking forward to it. time to reflect on the past 4 years in phs haha.
phs wasnt my first choice. it was my 578903289052th choice. no la just kidding. it was my 2nd choice. my first choice was st joseph institute, which psle t-score could barely reach. but i wanted to try, so i just put 1st choice as sji. but in the last minute my mum changed it to phs. i didnt know, and i was initially quite pissed when i found out. but then i dont care la, any school would do. 241 is a stupid t-score to get.. its too good for normal schools, but too lousy for good schools.
so i got posted into phs. the school is quite nice i thought. together with jason siah then we roamed around the school, joking about everything we saw. i had a first peek into band life, when i saw yiyang training sinyi and guiyu on the saxophone. wonder whether they saw me staring at them. haha. when sec1 orientation ended, my mind is half set on joining band.
first day of school. i remember my mum sent me to the traffic light outside school. after that it was on my own. i dutifully put on the school tie and badge. when i reached the school the senior in charge of my class (1h) told me i put the badge wrongly. haha i didnt know what.
i remembered lessons started on the second day. most teachers just gave us a brief summary of the year. but one teacher did not. MR EUGENE SIMON. HAHA i can never forget his name. he scolded us for not bringing textbook. like who will la, on the second day of school. it was an instant transition from 4 subjects to 9 leh.
cca day, and i remember the band played colonial collage. i didnt know how to tell whether a performance was good or not, but it sounded good, so im like, quite set on joining band.
on the first day of band life, our beloved mr tan weiboon talked to us sec 1s about band. he asked who was in band previously. i remember a few raised up their hands, christopher, jacob and eugene was among them. there was more, but i think a few quit band since. anyway i remembered eugene's face clearly because he said he played the sax. LOL.
this is getting too wordy. i'll cut short.
so i was thrown into main band, without prior music experience. abit wtf, if you ask me. i had 3 months to learn the sax AND the 2 syf pieces. PLUS i didnt know how to read notation. sinyi was stressed up man, she pushed me and taught me all my basics haha. im wouldnt be the player i am now if not for her.. lol sinyi read this!! without you i wouldnt be able to play the tenor at all. a big big thank you. (:
and the rest, is history.
i can play an altissimo G and A perfectly on my brother's alto (:
and when i say perfectly, i meant flawlessly. up and down scale muahaha.
