Adrenaline, is a hormone excreted by the endocrine adrenal gland. It is secreted directly into the bloodstream when there is a stimulus, usually stress faced by the body, for eg. anger. In the case of anger, Adrenaline causes the heart to beat faster, the blood vessels below to skin to constrict, and increasing the metabolism rate of the liver. It also causes the pupils to dilate in order to enhance vision, constricts hair muscles, and increases rate of breathing. In short, it prepares the body for a "fight and flight" situation.
